What was the last hint you were given of your purpose?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for February 11, 2009:
I made my own purpose by thinking with my mind.
Nothing outside of myself has guided me. It has all been my work, my accomplishments, my dreams, desires, needs, all mine.

hmmmm… and who gave you that wonderful mind? and who taught you how to use that mind? and might those people deserve a bit of gratitude for all the wonder they’ve imparted to you?
i believe we’re all in this together. whether we believe in a divine presence or not, we’re all brought gifts to help direct our decisions, either for or against what’s presented to us, and create our lives. it is within the serendipity of those interactions that we find the awesome inspiration of the Universe - the ‘hints’ if you will. just a couple of thoughts for consideration…

I completely agree ! I have many idols-but they are human. I have been inspired by their ideas and I could cite many family members, books, musicians, poets, artists…. my main argument and knowledge is that my inspiration comes from people who saw fit to share it with me-humans, that is, not any mythical source.
Yes, many hints I have followed…and it is of course obvious we’re all in this together, but there is no together without each individual’s ego and identity as well as consciousness-and that consciousness is something we all share, and many are at different levels-higher and lower.
My Mother and Father gave me life of course! Who gave them life? Their Mothers and Fathers! Who gave them life? Their Mothers and Fathers ! And so on…
